how long does it take for a shihtzu to grow thier hair out to put in a topknot. my female is almost 2 yrs old has long hair pretty much every where else except for the top of her head.

My shih-tzu is 7 months old and I can put hers in a topknot. Mind you she can get it out if she tries hard enough. Still some more growing to do yet.

it takes them 6-8 months, I was told
