  In 1919 Einstein's light-bending prediction confirmed by Arthur Eddington.
  In 1951 First North Pole flight in single engine plane - C.F. Blair.
  In 1953 Edmund Hillary (New Zealand) and Tenzing Norgay (Nepal Sherpa)
          become the first to reach the top of Mt. Everest.
  In 1954 Kirk and Anne Douglas married.
  In 1978 First Class postage now 15 cents (was 13 cents for 3 years).
