I have written a new tool to maintain both an ASCII and an HTML version of
my faq. I tried many other tools but they just didn't fit my needs...
Advantages:
- written in (Unix) PERL
- free
- works pretty good and not just for FAQ lists
- not a very complicated program (only one parameter: -h)
Disadvantages:
- you'll have to reformat your faq source file to my format
- the source can definately be improved (but hey, it works!)
The program relies on 1 or more source files. They will be parsed and
output will be written to one or more output files, in ASCII or HTML
format.
You can download it from:
http://www.let.ruu.nl/~jeroen/tools/jsp.pl.txt
To see the source for my FAQ file, go to:
http://www.marillion.com/faq/source/marillion-faq.txt
And to see the FAQ after running it through jsp.pl:
I'd love to hear your comments!
