I was just musing on how to do something better than this
terminally tired lil' ol' PIP.
The something better came back as a short list of answers to the
frequently-recurring questions on the list, to be dispensed one
at a time as footers to list broadcast messages, rotated as from
a cookie server.
Candiate topics for these Public Service Messages (PSMs) would
perhaps include:
- how to get off the list (deal with MLM)
- the news.answers guidelines
- a starting point for anti-spam reading
- D.A. Lamb's FAQ maintenance aids page
- K. Landfield's Webbed archive of faq-maintainers mail
- About Consensus.com (advert for resource contributor)
Each message to be brief as a tasteful .sig
