Under the Sea Beach Cabana tent

Rating: 5 out of 5
  • Currently 5.0/5.0

Taking kids to the beach is a challenge at best of times, but keeping them in the shade is the most difficult part. Getting this little tent was a stroke of genius, and since we got it, our grandchildren are safely playing in the shady tent interior, when they are not splashing in the water.
The tent is very colorful, and is made of flameproof polyester. It has SPF 30 rating, what means that it offers perfect protection from the sun. It can be closed with a zip mesh door in front, to protect the kids from mosquitoes when they are having a nap. The tent has a sturdy bottom, and the side panels make sure that there is enough ventilation, so that the kids do not over-heat in it. Corner sand bags keep the tent stable on windy days. Of course, you do not carry the sand with you, you fill the bags with whatever is handy, if you are not on the beach.
The poles are made of a strong but light fiberglass. The size is 40Hx35Wx60L and it feels surprisingly spacious, even I could fit in to play with the kids.
To put the tent up the first time required too people, but once we got the hang of it, it took only about a minute, so we carried it every time we went to the beach. No need for any tools. The weight of little under three pounds was very comfortable.
Cleaning the tent was also very easy, with a damp cloth, after we shook all the sand from it.
Kids now use it at home too, in the garden, to play explorers, or in their room, playing who knows what, I am not allowed to peep.
Great purchase, offering sun protection on the beach and endless fun for the kids, for only $29.99 at the local Target.
