2009 Audi TT Quattro AWD

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

I am a former car racer and a sports car enthusiast. My last sports car was a Corvette but I sold it when I stopped racing. After years of not driving a sports car I decided to get one. I researched different sports cars online. I found several that were stylish, comfortable, and fast like Nissan 350Z. 2011 Ford Mustang, Lexus IS 250 and Audi TT. Most of these cars are two-seats with big motors and poor mileage.
I narrowed my choice to the 2011 Ford Mustang and Audi TT Quattro because they are 2+2 and they both offer a good mileage at 30 MPG Hi-Way. I went to the dealership and test drive both cars.
I decided to buy the 2009 Audi TT Quattro 2.0 Turbo 2+2 coupe-styled hatchback Premium Plus package a few months ago that comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, an automatic retractable spoiler, heated side mirrors and windshield washer nozzles, cruise control, a tilt/telescoping multifunction steering wheel, full power accessories and a nine-speaker audio system with a single-disc CD player, satellite radio and an auxiliary audio jack, automatic xenon headlights, daytime running lamps, heated power front seats (Napa leather sports seats with special stitching), Bluetooth phone connectivity, an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror with a compass, rain-sensing wipers and a trunk pass-through slot with a ski bag.
My Audi TT Quattro AWD is a turbo charged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 200 hp and 207 lb-ft of torque with six-speed dual-clutch S tronic automated manual transmission. I can tell that the car has a better handling compared with the other sports cars I've test drive. Steering is very easy especially on corners and curvy roads. Acceleration from 50 mph to 80 mph takes only a few seconds, breaks are good, and the engine's operation is quiet. Surprisingly I get a 31 MPG Hi-Way and 24 MPG city.
My Audi TT Quattro AWD has a superb safety features. It comes with antilock disc brakes, stability control, front chest-and-head-protecting side airbags and front knee airbags. It is also equipped with a hill-hold feature, which prevents the car from rolling back when stopped on a hill.
My car is a coupe hatchback design with fold down rear seats to give more space and I can say that the interior is beautiful, well-built and sporty. The negative thing about the interior is I can't have somebody taller than 5'3" on the rear seat. It is very uncomfortable for an adult to stay on the rear seat. The performance and gas mileage of the car is great but price is expensive compared to others as well as the maintenance.
