Secrets for Glowing Skin

  1. • A daily routine of skin care requires no more than three simple steps each evening and morning: cleanse, tone and moisturize. You should use products indicated for your skin type.
  2. • You shouldn't use lotions and creams excessively. The skin on the face is a living organ that breathes, eliminates dead cells and regenerates constantly.
  3. • Always apply skin products gently and carefully to avoid irritating or harming the skin.
  4. • Avoid very cold or hot temperatures on the skin. Extreme temperatures can harm the skin.

Count the number of questions that you answered yes to in each section. The skin type that has the most number of affirmative answers is your skin type.

Skin type A. You are lucky because you have normal skin. Normal skin has an even tone, a soft, smooth texture, no visible pores or blemishes, and no greasy patches or flaky areas. This type of skin has a clear, fine-textured, supple and smooth surface that is neither greasy nor dry.

Skin type B. Oily skin is shiny, thick and dull colored. In this type of skin, the oil producing sebaceous glands are overactive and produce more oil than is needed. The great advantage of oily skin is that it ages at a slower rate than other skin types, the skin is more resistant to climate changes and sun exposure.

Skin type C. Dry skin, this skin type is most common in fair skinned women. Because the skin is delicate, it's sensitive to climate changes, sun and soaps, and is irritated by lack of care and harsh skin products. It tends to get irritated easily, because of a low secretion of sebum.

Skin type D. Combination skin. A combination of both oily and dry skin. This type of skin is very common, especially for older women. There is a greasy center panel consisting of nose, forehead and chin and a dry panel consisting of cheeks, mouth and the areas around the eyes and it should be treated as if it were two different types of skin.
