Alter the /dev/audio device file as follows:

crw-rw-rw-   1 root     sys       57 0x208011  /dev/audio  ; external jack
crw-rw-rw-   1 root     sys       57 0x208000  /dev/audio  ; internal
speaker

The command is:

  # mknod /dev/audio c 57 0x2080??  # replace ?? w/ 00 or 11
